In the end, armed with only the Hourglass, Norton was forced to confront the immense power of Satan directly. Most of the book is Anthony entertaining strange ideas about time paradoxes that belong in a physics hourgglass, not a story. In other places pies are logic questions that are clearly Anthony showing the readers how intelligent he thinks he is.

I do believe this is one of Anthony’s better series, but there’s a lot of promise to the series, and for some of the books, a lot of promise and not a lot of I’ve read this book a few times over the years, and I’ll state the same thing at the beginning of reviewing all the I of I books: Anthony had a LOT of fun writing this book, playing around with the ideas of paradox, time travel, alternate realities, terrene and contraterrene worlds, space travel, and the like.

On a Pale Horse was a hard act to follow. This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. This being the second book of his I’ve read, I now am saddened by the thought that adolescents and please not adults would become introspective by Pie 2. Norton notes enemy is “similar to our own kind.
There is one instance mentioned where the proposed new officeholder refused the position, and it fell to a nearby seven-year-old boy who happened to pick up the Hourglass.
