Her incessant, obnoxious whining reminded me of annoying teenagers at the mall when they’re with a group of friends thinking they’re really cool because they’re disturbing the peace with their loud, annoying voices.
The overall plot is decent. Lists with This Book. Morois are weak and dependable but have a magic that they are not allowed to use it for their protection by Strigois, who are the bad ass aspect of vampire. If Morois aren’t allowed to use magic for protection thank God this seems to change in the 3rd book, as it makes sense they shouldn’t obtain guardians on demand but by guardian’s choice. OMG, how can anyone possibly like her????? But Rose has an even “bigger” secret. Perhaps the author will give Ms. Thankfully, the interesting ending of the book will set a new horizon in the book setting.
I kept wishing book two had been the longer one and that there were more scenes with Adrian in them. Rose is her bodyguard who she occasionally talks to. In a heart-stopping battle to rival her worst nightmares, Rose will have to choose between life, love, and the two people who matter most View all 7 comments. Nonetheless, with the fascinating world that Mead has built for her characters, I know I will keep reading each new book.
Lissa is honestly so bland and boring in every single book. Rose just likes him, so we, the readers, are expected to like him. Los no-muertos acechan y desean vengar las vidas que ella se ha llevado consigo.
I don’t care much about the world. I like him, but he doesn’t have the extra umph I require from my characters. I maintain that the world itself is the real draw.
Perhaps a question of taste, but it’s making me want to discontinue reading the series.

It’s the book that changes dramatically your point of view and your interpretation of experiences you or others around you endure. Left it this romance that I just do not see.
I have never finished this book. I can’t explain it, but somewhere around chapter 2, I didn’t care about our heroine, her more perfect than ssombra friend, her crush on her instructor which, while forbidden, is somehow evolving into a relationship without anyone noticingand the legions of “bad things” that still don’t have a good explanation.
The immortal undead are closing in, and they want vengeance for the lives Rose has stolen. What about having the right of choice?

Those interesting bits were overshadowed by so much telling, so little showing, and a healthy dose of predictability. I’m kind of fed up with rose. Is that the response of a well-adjusted young woman in control of her emotions?
Don’t ask me why I kept reading these God awful books. And, since the first book, I have never really bought the “love” between Rose and Dimitri. Rose will get to practice some when they get 6 weeks of intense guarding You might remember that I was not that excited over the first 2 books. Originally from Michigan, Richelle now lives in Seattle, Washington where she works on her three series full-time: For someone who thinks she knows everything, Rose sure is ignorant as hell.

Some of the things she says earned her a major eye-roll from my side. Unlike with the first two books, I’m definitely not reading this one all the way through — just skimming e I’m kind of rixhelle to see what happens next in the story but I’m too busy being irritated by the constant recaps of things the reader should already know.
As mad as she was at him, couldn’t she have done something else preferably to him to get her point across? Rose knows it is forbidden to love another guardian.
