If the software makers didn’t integrate this type of functionality into the application as a setting, finding the executable and associating it with the file type may still fail because they probably didn’t design their application to start with a file passed in as a “file open” parameter.

There’s a bit of give and take for a dev, depending on which installation method they choose. You been very helpful so far as fkletype today I had never even knew of a ClickOnce app. So after using my program above markdownPad and another CO app for twitter I realize they seem to be more flexible on the design UI. Kind of like an Adobe Lcickonce app but more like a native windows app.
So 1 last question. Is there any limitations of a clickOnce app over other installed apps other then described above?
