Amazon Second Chance Pass it on, trade it in, give it a second life. I very much doubt that. Adjectives are nice, to a point this book far exceedes. Before The Bourne Identity Ludlum already had a string of thrillers to his name.
So all is forgiven. Before turning to writing full time, he enjoyed highly successful careers in the New York City public school system, where he holds licenses in both elementary and early childhood education, and in the music business, where he worked for Elektra Records and CBS Records, among other companies.
Three Stars In the previous two books we were introduced to a world-wide shadow organisation that all but ran the world. Sure, there are loads of action, thrills and intrigue – in fact, I was silently impressed at how complicated yet sensible it was – but it always has this James Bond kind of feeling, this lack of realism. I finished the book only because that’s what I do. Getting mixed up with and listening to tales of the childhood of shady, mega-rich, cigar-smoking ‘Mr Fixits’ isn’t where this book works best.
