Set up of the practice sentences at the back of the book. The ones for each page are quite similar, but uses the kanji rather than hiragana, and asks for a translation. Also, please pardon the horrible handwriting. It occurs to me now that I should mention another great thing about this book.
Below the set of kanji for each page there are 3comes a set of vocab that uses those kanji, and also gives the furigana for pronunciation. It really helps in getting your head around the on- and kunyomi, as well as helping with some of the exceptions and reducing the amount of times you have to get a dictionary out.
There are also some wordsearches which are fun to do. Possibly the best one of the most helpful features of this book, however, is the back where the answers are found. I think you could probably get by with a good website and a pen and paper, seukatsu even a dictionary site like jisho.
